‘Working together we can become greater than the sum of our parts’ |
||
ASK Education is an improvement charity set up to support school improvement for local nursery, primary and secondary schools. Run by a Steering Committee of like-minded professionals, we have the autonomy to decide what is important for our schools and can determine how to collaboratively respond to changing educational landscapes so that we evolve strong educational provision for children and young people in all of our schools. |
||
ASK Education provides three routes to support school improvement as follows |

These are courses and professional collaboration opportunities to address those aspects of our work that are linked to: safeguarding; legislative requirements and the general cycle of on-going training needs for primary and secondary schools. ASK members can send as many staff as they wish to these sessions as they are all included in the membership offer. Member schools might also like to contribute to the training profile. |
The ENGAGE programmes provide longer term professional development for primary and secondary colleagues to reflect ‘in’ and ‘on’ practice. Through a series of facilitated programmes, professionals work collaboratively to learn from evidence based practices and to inquire into areas that are pertinent to their improvement needs. ASK members can send as many professionals on the programmes at no additional cost as it is part of their membership offer. Members schools may also like to run programmes. |
This aspect of our services enables us to work with partner organisations to bring additional services to local schools. It falls outside the membership offer and is chargeable to schools on a pay as you use basis. Costs are variable depending on the type of training and the durations of the courses. It is only this aspect of our service that is available to schools who are not ASK members. |
