Inquiry Focused School Improvement

Erasmus Updates

Following a successful consortium bid to the EU Erasmus + fund for international professional development a total of 150 members of staff  from 10 partner schools will take part in fully funded educational training and cultural visits to Italy ,Sweden, The Netherlands and Spain over the next two years.

logosbeneficaireserasmusright enWe are delighted that this funding has been granted for this ambitious project which will enable leaders, teachers, support staff and governors to  learn about other approaches and curriculum innovations, see them in practice and have time to discuss and reflect on their learning in a structured, professional environment.

These shared experiences will strengthen partnerships across our schools, have a high impact on the practice of all members and will increase awareness of the benefits of working collaboratively through new links with European partners.

Our first adventure will be to Bologna, Italy in early November 2019 for a look at “Creative approaches in early years and pre school education.”

We will keep you updated as the project progresses.

Good morning to you all,

The sun is up and shining so we left straight after breakfast and did a walk through the town until we stopped at the Picasso museum. That was lovely and so very informative. Then we got taught some Spanish dance moves, so Alberto one day we can show the class ( including Ms Clarke's two left feet). After lunch Mrs Souter and myself had to tell the group all about how wonderful Standens Barn is. I decided to take notes and Mrs Souter did the speaking, turning out to be a great success. Later Mrs Souter and I decided to go up to the castle, little did we know that the walk would be so steep, boy did we struggle with the climb but it was worth the 25 minute climb. The view of Malaga was out of this world. We even saw the bull ring. Tomorrow is a very early start so again will update.   I do however have one task I would like you to all do and it is easy and only due for next week - could each of you please find out only one (1) fact about Picasso and one (1) about Malaga. Enjoy your day today.
